This book is about Aelnoth who is a shiftier and Susie who is a human. Aelnoth takes a trip to see humans as he has been told all the vile things they do and evil they are. Susie is just your average human women who happens to meet Aelnoth. They have a special night together that results in Susie getting pregnant with their son Jason. As Jason grows it is apparent that he is special and needs his father. Susie sets out to find him but going into shiftier territory is dangerous for a human. Susie gets taken and is set to be auctioned off as a breeder. Aelnoth is also there and buys her without knowing who she is. Will Aelnoth discovery her true identity? Will he welcome her and his son home or will Susie be freed. This book is well written and has all the things you love about shiftier stories.
